Common questions
The bot isn't responding to commands
First check the status page. If Darklock is online, make sure its role sits above the roles it needs to manage, and that it can view and send messages in the channel. Re-inviting with the official link fixes missing slash commands.
How do I set up the bot for the first time?
Run
/setup after inviting. It creates log channels, turns on protection with safe defaults and offers optional modules. The Add Bot guide walks through it step by step.A protection feature is being too aggressive
Open
/automod or the dashboard and lower the sensitivity of the module in question. Every automated action has a case entry in your moderation log, so anything can be reviewed and reversed.How do appeals work?
When appeals are enabled, banned users receive an appeal link. Submissions appear in your review channel with the original case attached; staff approve or deny with one click and the user is notified automatically.
How do I link my servers together?
Multi-server moderation is an Enterprise feature. In the dashboard, go to Setup → Multi-Server Moderation, generate a link code on the primary server and redeem it on the others. Details are in the docs.
How do I remove my data?
Kicking Darklock stops all collection for that server, and stored server data is deleted on the schedule described in the privacy policy. For manual data requests, contact [email protected].
I found a security vulnerability
Please report it privately. See the security page for the disclosure process. Don't post vulnerabilities in public channels.
